Providing arboricultural and urban forestry consulting services to the private and public sectors throughout Southwestern BC and Vancouver Island, from our office in Richmond British Columbia Canada. We are arborists, surveyors and design consultants, the ideal choice to inventory, assess, manage and enhance your planted and native landscapes. We rely on the latest research, and utilize the most advanced diagnostic tools and the latest computer technologies. We have worked on over 1000 projects with experience in helping our clients meet the challenges of managing all types of tree and vegetation related issues. Our client list includes BC Hydro, Greater Vancouver Regional District, University of British Columbia, City of Richmond, City of Surrey, City of Port Moody, and City of Vancouver, as well as many private property owners, land developers and land use consultants. Highlight projects include the Millenium Line rapid transit project from New Westminster to Vancouver through Burnaby, as well the the Canada Line rapid tranist project from Richmond, the Vancouver International Airport to Vancouver.

We practice the highest standards of professionalism to provide thorough reports, and plans and to provide sound, independent and practical advice. Our extended services include referral and approvals to cities and agencies, public liaison on sensitive projects, education, training and development for industry, and undertaking research.

We are a CAD office, using ŽAutoCad to read and prepare plans that are specific and detailed for each project. We can present our inventory data, and specify tree protection, replanting and revegetation plantings, to be distributed electronically to the project design team, and plotted in colour from our HP large format plotter.

The owner and prime consultant, is a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), a qualified Wildlife/Danger Tree Assessor by the Ministry of Forests and WCB, and is a Survey Technologist through studies at BCIT and the Western Board of Examiners. These disciplines combine to make him the foremost tree survey specialist.

Norman is also acoordinator with the International Tree Failure Database. This program, sponsored by the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the ISA, is a forum for arborists and related professionals to report trees that fall in urban and rural areas across North America. This information is compiled into a database to provide useful information for research in the causes and trends in tree failures.
